Quick Dosa Batter

This is a quick version of a dosa batter. In this process you do not have to brave through the process of soaking, grinding, fermenting. This Dosa batter is ready in 1 hr.

  • 3 cups rice flour
  • 1 cup urad dal flour
  • 3 tablespoon besan chickpea flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Water


  1. Mix all the ingredients together in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add water. Stir well until no lumps left. Batter should be of the consistency of a pancake batter.
  3. Cover and set aside in a warm, dark place for a couple hours or until the batter rises to double its size and has air pockets in it.
