07/27/10 - Sukhi’s Summer Happenings

We hope everyone is having a great summer, just a quick update on what Sukhi's and the traveling samosas have been up to!

After returning from a hectic trip to New York City for the Fancy Food show, we have been hard at work in the kitchen, today we are churning out a new batch of everyone's new favorite White Corn Cilantro Salsa! Now available at Fremont and Sunnyvale Costco's. Can't find it at your Costco location? Fill out a comment card and request Sukhi's White corn Cilantro Salsa (Item # 517764)

Over the weekend, the traveling samosas were at a fundraiser for "Raiders of the Lost Tuk" a San Francisco team heading for Autumn 2010 Rickshaw Run in India which will raise money for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation to help find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes and for Friends of Maiti Nepal to provide a safe home and education for three victims of sexual trafficking and abuse in Nepal & India for one year

We were also busy cooking up some Tandoori Chicken and Vegetable Biryani for the lucky winner of the Bi Rite Dine Out for the Gulf Coast Raffle winner!

06/14/10 - Sukhi’s Gourmet Indian Foods Wins Third SOFI Award

On June 14, 2010 Sukhi’s Gourmet Indian Foods was awarded its third Silver NASFT SOFI award ("sofi" sofi stands for "specialty outstanding food innovation" and represents the best of the best.) for our Tandoori Chicken Naanwich. This year the category was Outstanding New Product.

The Tandoori Chicken Naanwich, an innovative way to eat a healthy lunch on-the-go consists of our handcrafted naan folded over Sukhi’s family recipe of Tandoori chicken. It is part of Sukhi’s Grab N’ Go line which is currently available at Whole Foods Markets and other Natural Food Markets.

Sukhi and her family will travel to New York City for the announcement of the SOFI Gold winner on June 28th. 

In a record year, NASFT members submitted over 2,257 entries compared to 2,191 in 2008. We are thrilled to receive this award and feel lucky to be in the company of some incredible new products! Thank you for your support through the years!

04/13/10 - Sukhi’s Gourmet Indian Cuisine at the Academy of Friends Gala

On March 5, 2010 Sukhi’s Gourmet Indian foods was a proud sponsor of the Academy of Friends 2010 Gala, “Behind the Seams: A Salute to Fashion in Film.”   Sukhi’s provided authentic Indian cuisine to the hundreds of attendees as well as to all volunteers of the event.  Gala proceeds went to the Academy of Friends, which supports several Bay Area organizations that help those affected by HIV/AIDS.  Sukhi’s volunteers pictured below are (left to right) Sakun, Francesca, and Pauna.

04/28/09 - Sukhi's is a Silver Finalist for 2 Sofi Awards!
Sukhi's is chosen as a finalist in 2 categories for the prestigious Sofi Awards! 111 finalists were chosen from 1433 submissions. Celebrity Chef Ming Tsai will host the award ceremony on June 29th in New York.
